Anonymous | They're both good speaker manufacturers, as are many others out there (Paradigm, Ascend, PSB to name a few). The right answer is what sounds best to you and fits your budget. No matter what you buy, you'll be limited by that Sony receiver. You should have come looking for advice before buying it. |

PM Unregistered guest | I have Polk Monitor 70's as main speakers and love them. Im not familiar with the Sony. I have them hooked up to Pioneer and for the money am very happy with them. |

A good sub on the other hand is fairly independent so I would not scrimp on that. New member Username: Fps_deanPost Number: 6 Registered: Oct-05 | I will suggest Infinity Beta 50s. They typically run about $500 a piece and they really sound like they should run $1000 a piece. You can get a pair for $730 or so on ebay after shipping so go to your local store and check them out. They are a very natural sounding speaker. They have deep lows but not overpowering lows without cranking the bass up. Polk's are too bright for my liking. |
