No, this is no Line Source....its a Point Source, the open baffles give you a more Live-like sound that box speakers don't come close to give you. Danny Richie, the owner of GR-Research tells us more about this in this link.... http://www.hometheatertalk.com/httalk/viewtopic.php?t=15128

Danny Richie seems to have some experience under his belt. But, any dynamic speaker that stands about 6' tall with nine drivers doesn't work out to be a point source in any description I've ever seen. First order Xo or not, MTM above 200Hz or not (particularly with a first order Xo and six more drivers to go), that's going to take some more explaining before the word "line" doesn't get in there somewhere.

They may sound great, but point source is hard to believe.

"it is really not a line source at all. It is more of a point source style design as it is a WWMTMWW configuration, plus the side loaded sub" Point source from WHICH POINT(s)? Rediculous!
Lets see.....thats woofer, woofer, mid, tweet, mid, woofer, woofer with a side loaded sub for additional phase problems, just in case the wwmtmww design didn't cause enough of it.
