Hi there. I am a complete novice with PC sound systems. I just bought the Logitech z-5500 system so that I can use my PC as a sound system. I can get the speakers working using the 3 connector lead ( green, black, orange ) but I want to try and get digital quality sound. I have an SB Audigy 2 ZS. I spoke to the guys at Maplin who suggested a coaxial cable to link the soundcard to the speaker control pod. I paid my £20 and then discovered that the soundcard doesnt have a coaxial output but a 3.5mm digital out, DOH !!!! I went back to Maplin and they suggested using an optical cable,with 3.5mm adapter for the digital out, into the speaker control pod. I tried this but I cant get any sound. Am I doing something wrong, probably, can anyone help me ?
