Hi All I am looking at the Denon 4806 or almost identical AVC-A11XV as it is sold in Asia and Europe. I have some questions that hopefully someone will know the answer to.
1. With the HDMI switching facility, if I connect an upscaling DVD player like the Denon 2910 and output a 720p or 1081i feed, can this reciever send it through to the screen at the same resolution. Will this be the same as connecting directly via HDMI to a screen?
2. This receiver has two component monitor outs and one HDMI monitor out. Does this mean that I can connect a projector via HDMI out and a plasma via component out and then view all my sources on each?
1) From looking at the unit's feature, the 4806 looks like it does no HDMI scaling, so I imagine what you feed it from the 2910 will be what you get through the HDMI out.
2) Only if you can assign both component and HDMI out to the same inputs on the 4806.
