The M55 looks superb (at least from the few pics I have seen). Could be a very interesting machine if it performs great in the video and audio depts.

It looks butt-ugly to me. Though from various comments I have read, I may be on my own in this view.

Reading the data sheet, it would seem that the electronics inside it should do a fairly good job.

Doubt if I'll get one, but if I do then it will be placed out of sight. :-)

I agree with Diablo, it seems like a 1950's retro design. Going by the parts it wouldn't want to be dearer than the Denon DVD-3910. It will be interesting to see if it is as good . . .

. . . and as reliable?

One of the interesting specs on the m55 is that can upconvert hd rez in the component realm. I don't believe the 3910 can do this...nor any other machine up to the nad's pricepoint. Correct me if I'm wrong about this.

Due in September? I see no sign of its (the Master series) release as yet.
