I recently bought a set of pioneer speakers and subwoofer, and a purchased a receiver. today i hooked everything up however the subwoofer is not working. I connected the dvd player and the receiver using a coaxal cable, the 5 satallite speakers are all connected using speaker wire however the subwoofer has its own jack out(not speaker wire). i connected that to the subwoofer(into the sub in) but it doesnt seem to be working. the receiver is a klh model r5100. im starting to think that maybe the sub isn't working/broken
any help would be awsome!
thanks- shawn

Is it a powered subwoofer? Having its own jack I am inclined to think that it is powered.
Connect this to the subwoofer output of the receiver. Go to your set up and make sure that the subwoofer pre-out is turned on. It is not turned on by default.
What receiver do you have anyway?
