i am not sure what i did wrong but i am getting this message:
'The iPod "Maria Cook's iPod" cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist.'
i deleted it trying to create a new one. i am not clear on how to put playlists on my ipod and now i can't do it at all.

Yes,

You have to make your playlist in itunes and it will sync with your mini.

Im having the same problem with my iPod and PC World are useless. they told me to ring apple and there was nothing they could do, which is annoying. Apples only open from 11 - 5, and im out all of these times and it would also cost a bomb. i want a decent solution, if anyone has any suggestions i'd appreciate it, and if people have the same problem - try phoning 0208 218 1000 if you want proper help from apple -- dunno how much good it will do...

but please, HELP!

Hi

Had the same problem myself and the following sorted it out:

Select Edit
Select Preferences
You will probably find that 'Automatically Update Selected Playlists Only' is selected
Change to 'Automatically Update All Songs and Playlists'
Select OK
Hopefully this should solve things

Worked like a charm to fix deleting my playlist. Thought I'd have to reinstall.

Thanks to the Mikey & the Post Host!

thanx mikey, it worked for me!! i was stressing out of my mind!

i think the problem arises when ur i-pod memory becomes filled up to da max so i-tunes decides to copy certain songs

Q. IF I DELETE CERTAIN PLAYLISTS WILL IT UPSET ANYTHING BECAUSE MY MEMORY IS BECOMING FULL????

The iPod "Luisa's iPod cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist.<<<<<<<<<<<<<y>>>>>>>>>The iPod "Luisa's iPod" cannot be updated because there is not enough free space to hold all of the songs in the iTunes library.Would you like iTunes to choose a selection of songs to copy to this iPod?<<<<<<<<<<<<<<but then i see that my iPod doesn't have any music or pictures but it still says it doesnt have space so it selects like half the songs on my library but i dont want half i want all of them there so please some1 help me before i go crazy trying 2 fix it but end up messing it more
