Any help?! Have new Harmon Kar. receiver AVR135 and an older sony tv that only has video 2...the harmon has video 3...can I avoid buying a newer tv? How would I go about connecting the two so that remote, etc will function peroperly? Thank you for help...for husbands sake!
your Sony probably doesn't have audio outputs so what you'll have to do is, use the tuner on your VCR to watch TV and connect the VCR's audio outputs to the HK135.
You'll need to have all 3 devices on in order to watch TV. The HK should have a learning remote that you can program to manipulate the VCR's tuner, if it doesn't then you'll have to buy a universal remote---still cheaper than buying a new TV.
