First off I admit I am a novice. I have a 32" Panasonic Tv, an older Teac 3050 receiver and a Bose passive subwoofer. My problem is when I use the receiver with the TV I have to turn the volume on the receiver almost all the way up and I get almost no sound from the right side speaker. However, when I use the tuner portion of the receiver it works just fine on both volume and the right side speaker. I have switched speakers, changed the speaker wire with no change. I do not have the receiver wired to come on with the TV my wife says it confuses her. I would change to a newer receiver but this one fits the space I have available. Others I have measured will not fit in my TV cabinet. Any ideas?

Try a different input RCA on Teac. If the same problem persists, than it might be your TV - can you test it with a different receiver?

If you have to turn 3050 up so much, try turning up the volume on your TV.
