I have some standard indoor speakers that I want to run to my TV (output). The problem is that the TV has the RCA jacks.

How do I convert standard (silver/gold) speaker wire to RCA?

Thanks very much!!!!

You can probably buy RCA end plugs at your local Radio Shack. You can try connecting them directly to the speakers but I don't know if that will work. RCA outs and the back of a TV usually mean that there is no additional amplification. Meaning, you'd have to hook up an external amp or an A/V receiver to really accomplish what you're trying to do.

JR,
You'll need to buy a receiver. You'll get very little amplification without without a power source. The rca's are designed to connect electronic components........not speakers.

Onkyo 8511 off ebay is a good one for not much money.
