anyone recommend somthing besides a Fluance sub... I was just gonna get it because im getting some of their bookshelve speakers...

Umm..well budget is realy whatever's worth the money....I soppose around 300 bucks..but Ill go more if worth it......
small room
loudness-I like bass

aight well I'll take your advice...so an 8 should be fine...

I realy dont know much about this stuff...I just dont want the thing to sound off on deep notes...

There's also the 10" TITANIC MKIII SUBWOOFER KIT from Parts Express for $350 with free shipping (so similar price) which is often said to be the best bargain under $500. Some assembly required, but the cabinet is pre-built so it's not really that bad:
