There's no need to timbre-match a sub to other speakers so there's no need to stay in the same brand. This is for home theater and music? For $500, go with SVS or Hsu (or just Hsu if you're in Canada). You'll get much better value. |

Arthur just ordered one today; check out his thread on the "speakers" forum. Having said that, I own a Hsu STF-3 (also goes to 25 Hz, and I tend to think that's plenty low) and I'm very satisfied too. I posted a note about that too in that thread. |
