I'm building a surround system (Dali Evidence Fronts, Dali Suite surrounds) and am looking to add a sub to it. I've been told that I'd be better off with the Dali Suite S1.2 sub (sealed, 12", goes down to 29Hz) and that it will blend better with my speakers. Here's a link to its description: http://www.dali-usa.com/Page.asp?MMID=1&MID=3&UMID=37&UUMID=89&PID=215

I'm not convinced it will make much difference, but I'd like to get opionions on sub "blending".

Will the fact that it is sealed make it a better choice?

The other subs I am looking at are the new Outlaw LFM-1 (12" ported, down-firing, goes to 25Hz, designed by Hsu?) described at http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/lfm1.html and the Hsu Research VTF-3 (12" ported, side firing, goes to 20-25Hz) described at http://www.hsustore.com/vtf3.html I think.

Any comments on blending, sealed vs. ported, and these particular subs? Thanks in advance!
