I am considering buying a pair of Bose double Cubes off ebay ( series 1,2 or 3 range in price from 175-250 used, and some new). I wanted to use them in a 11x11 room, with JBL studio monitors 12" 3 ways on the front, and these spot speakers on the back end. Powered by a Luxman stereo integrated amp L-450. This will be for music only, ( Jazz, and Classical)....any thoughts???
Bose cubes were designed to run with the Acoustimass module in line to cross out the bass frequencies that the little cubes can't handle. personally, I think the cubes are pretty good for movies and HT, but for music, I would go with bookshelf monitors for the back. probably some JBL to complement the towers up front.
