Good all-around book to learn the ropes?

Can anyone out there suggest a good book that defines and describes all of the audiofile tech talk?

I can understand reviews well enough, but not well enough to explain it to others. I believe I will be selling audio equipment soon and I want to be able to sell a customer that relly knows his/her stuff.

Please suggest a very recent book.

Try these -

"The complete guide to High-End Audio" and "Home Theater for Everyone" by Robert Harley.

Also -

"Practical Home Theater" by Mark Fleischmann.

Both are good places to start... but they are more 'basic' in terms of explanations - geared towards the 'common' person.

Amazon.com has a bunch of books... search for 'home theater'.
