Do you have an opinion about Rotel's Euro Series vs. Nad?

I was about to buy a Nad receiver and cd player, but I just found out that the Euro Series is in my price range. And Rotel seems to have a very good reputation. I can't do a side by side audition with the same speakers, so I'd love to hear if anyone has really compared these two brands. Any info is welcome.
