I am putting together my first HT system. I started with the receiver and I have practically settled for the Marantz 5400. I gladly take suggestions for speakers for this receiver. Take into account my budget (US$ 500). I'm also open to any suggestions regarding receivers in the same price range (US$ 400-500) as the Marantz.
You have settled on the best receiver in it's price range IMO. For speakers take a look at the Monitor Audio Bronze series. They are a very good match with Marantz. Is the $500 for just your mains[I hope] or a complete 5.1 set?
