it seems that pods only benefit cd players.

You can try different numbers and different positions with the pods. Try three with one under the power supply transformer. If that doesn't work, try spikes or cones under the amp. They will do a good job of sinking vibration into a surface such as a dedicated amp stand. You should also damp the top plate. Try a diver's weight ( obtained at a skin diver's shop). Try it in different positions on the top. If it sems to help you can SuperGlue three small ball bearings on the bottom of the weight to help mass load it to the amp. Some people use a magnetic material to absorb stray magnetic fields. This was the basis for the VPI brick. An easy substitute for this is a box (a few Lbs.)of small screws or nails. Try it and if it helps the cosmetics are up to you.
