Receiver for whole house stereo (7x2 speakers)

What type receiver do I buy for a home which has 6 rooms with 2 Niles (MP525, rated 8 Ohms) in-ceiling speakers and 2 Mirage(Oasis, rated 8 Ohms) outdoor speakers?

Recommended amp power on Niles is 5 - 75w, on Mirage 5- 100W per channel. Will a 100 watt per channel stereo receiver be powerful enough to run all speakers at the same time? Or is it preferable to buy a hometheater receiver and it has 100 - 130 watts per channel to insure there is enough wattage to get decent sound (but will I blow the speakers if I just use 2 at 130 watts per channel?)

The only equipment I own is 2 speaker selector(4 speakers each) boxes from Phoenix.I also need advice as to how to best hook those up to the receiver so that it doesnt cause a problem since there are 2 speaker selector boxes instead of 1.

Really appreciate advice!! Totally clueless!

thanks mike
