Two speakers in One channel

I connected 2 separate cables to 2 different speakers from the same binding post. Meaning there are two cables in the + terminal going to two + terminal in the speakers, and two cables in the - terminal going to the -terminals in the speakers. One sepaker is 8 ohm and the other is 6 ohm. My crown amplifier can handle up to 2 ohm loads. would it be safe to have this configuration? The other channel in the amplifier is connected to a single speaker (8 ohm)

But why would you want to have two speakers on one channel and only one on the other?

What exactly are you trying to achieve by adding one 6ohm speaker to one channel?

Intrigued,
