I'm running 300w through 14 gauge speaker wire to my single polk 10. Is that large enough wire? Should I go bigger?

it should be enough, what is the length of the wire? if the run is short then you wont need as thick of wire as you might need for a long run.....

14 Gauge is right on. For most subs 16 is too small and 12 is to big.

You're going to want at least 8 ga, maybe 4. There's a chart here that lists what gauge wire you'll want for what length and what power.

Oops. lol. My mistake, I thought power wire, not speaker wire. Oh well, good reference for ground and power wire anyhow. lol

Yeah, that may be my problem. It's much longer than it needs to be. I have like 2 feet + extra....
