I have a 95 corolla(toyota) I just bought, and found out both rear speakers are shot. I know youre not big advocates of the rear speakers, but Im replacing them anyhow. No amp, stock HU.
After some research, I decided on infinity 6002i, or 652i. BUT, I read (Matt, I believe) that underpowering them with the stock head unit will leave them sounding weak. Does the RMS from the HU need to be fairly close to the 60 RMS for these speaker sets? If so, any off the hip suggestions for a decent sounding speaker set? Thanks.
By the way, I have no idea what the output from the HU is.
the stock radio will probally be putting out about 8-10 watts of power. if you put these speakers in and power them with just the stock radio they are going to sound poorly.
