My friend just ordered a RE X.X.X., and he wants to know what amp he should get to run it at it's full potential, but not overpoering it, just enough to get everything out of it. And should he get something that can put out a 1 ohm load, since the x.x.x. a 2 ohm dvc, or should he get a 2 channel and wire one channel to each voice coil?
Depends on the amount of money you want to spend. For the best quality it would cost you a lot of money, like $700+. Something like JL or Zapco. Kicker makes a real nice amp, the 1200.1 will probably put out something closer to 1400 watts, or maybe more. One of my kicker amps puts out 60% more power than it is rated at, which impressed me. If you want to spend the least amount of money for a good amp get JBL or hifonics.
