I was planning on getting 1 12" V-Max. How does the SQ sound on a ported box. 2.6cu ft tuned at 33 hz is recommended. Clould a shop make that a slot ported inclosure instead of 2 round ports. I dont want port noise. Also what would be the SQ and SPL difference between that ported box and a 1cu ft sealed box.
the difference isnt huge between the ported and sealed enclosures. the slot port would deffinetly get louder but might lose a little SQ. the VMAX does very well in both types of boxes. if youve got the room, id go ported. local shops can make boxes that custom fit your car and sub so look into that. goodluck
