Hi guys,

I've got bugger all idea what I need, I've just bought a 500w 10" sub of a friend, my car has 4 standard speakers and I am looking for a amp to run all 4 speakers and sub between the price range $100-$250(if buying second hand).

how many channels, watts?

please help :-)

What is the model # for the sub you have. Also you want to spend between 100-250.00 for just an amp is what your saying correct?

I'm at work, all I remember is its a Clarion 500w 10" sub, and yeah just for the amp,

basically what type of amp am I looking for, how many channels, watts.

So are you wanting just one amp to run everything. Another option is to run a amp for your subwoofer and then an amp for your door speakers. This is what most people do but you can run a 5 channel amp. Its up to you.

Here is what I would do. Not even worry about running back speakers and just run front speakers and a amp. If ya do that you can get away with a 4 channel amp and bridge channel 3-4 and run your fronts off 1-2.

Yea the 4 channel amp would proably work well for ya. Run the sub off the back two channels and run either 4 speakers or just the two fronts ones off the front 2 channels. If you go with the 5 channel amp your gonna be underpowering your sub quiet a big thats why I suggest the 4 channel so you can bridge 3-4 to get double power and have plenty of power for your subwoofer. Was that the subwoofer above that I pointed out in that link.
