from earlier thread I have 12" Kenwoods now but am upgrading to 12" visoniks 6ohm dvc 600watt rms 1200 max, what would be the ideal amp for these, also thinking of doubling up and getting 2 more of these same speakers down the road

jbl 1200.1 or the kicker 1200.1. Those two subs are gonna be ran at 1.5 ohms so the amps I mentioned would work best for ya.

Yes one will run at 3 ohms and two will run at 1.5 or 6 ohms. I assume since you said visoniks you are meaning a pair. Correct me if im wrong though.

two dual 6 ohm subs run completely paralell are a 1.5 ohm load, i would use the bp1200.1, it puts out 1200w rms at 1 through 2 ohms

ah, I see, didn't think about the bridged output cutting the 3 ohms in half, what do those amps run cost wise by chance

Check out ebay but I believe the jbl 1200.1 will be around 300.00 and the kicker a little more. Defintely under 400.00 though.

like the sound of that, I do have a hook up for a monoblock 800 watt amp, 2 ohm stable, for 200 bucks, think that will do the job ok?

No becasue that amp wont be stable down to 1.5 ohms so its not gonna work. You will get no power out of that amp at 6 ohms either.

Here you go.

(only 200.00 BIN. Thats a heck of a price)

If you have the money I would go with either the memphis amp I first listed or the jbl 1200.1 since they are pretty cheap right now.
