Broken Subwoofer? Bad wiring?

I have a SPLX subwoofer, and everything was working perfectly until the fuse on the amp wire blew. I replaced the fuse and everything was working okay until the subwoofer stopped working. It only works when I press the middle of the speaker itself, then the bass comes through. I have gone through every possibility, the wiring is fine so im thinking maybe the speaker is now broken?

Yes, likely at some point the speaker electrical circuit is open, sometimes is an easy fix other times you need to recone, Sounstream sell recone kits for that sub.

sounds like a shot VC, but if you have a DMM, test the DCR of the speaker across the coil leads and see what it reads.. that should reveal a damaged coil. If you have an analog VOM, clamp the leads to the terminals, and push the cone in and out, and see if the needle swings a lot for the DCR..
