Single Cab truck

i have an 01 dodge ram regular cab and i am about so put the system in.... im havin a tough time tryin to figure out if i should just get one 12 inch sub or two 10 inch alpine type e or r subs.

If the 12 were an alpine type e/r as well, which would give better sound and which would probably be the better solution. I want this thing to hit hard...like to be heard from the outside obviously... am i gonna need two 12's or what? i'd prefer not to get two 12's...but if thats what it takes...
thanks in advance!

Im in the same boat as you as far as space availability. I have a 99 chevy silverado, standard cab, and im debating whether to put 2 12's or 2 10's. I do want them to hit hard :-) is it possible to put 12's in a standard cab full sized truck? most the boxes i have seen for pickups have a limited mounting depth (5 or so inches) has anybody out there ever put a sound system in a truck like this? If so, how did it work and what kind a box and size subs did you use?
