10 or 12 Type R and Amp

Hey, im trying to figure out what amp/sub combo is best.

I can either get a 10 or 12 inch type R mated with a MRD-M301. Both subs have the same RMS(300), which is kinda strange for me, so I figure with the 350 RMS from the amp, either the 10 would be overpowered, and the 12 just right, or the 10 would be perfect, and the 12 would be underpowered, right? Or are the somehow both perfect with that amp?

Other thing is that im kinda afraid that one 10 or 12 isn't going to enough bass for my liking, and then I would just get another with the setup as the first one. But then 2 12's would be too much for me. I have a sealed trunk (old BMW). Should I try 1 10, and then just get another one, or just go with the 12. I could also just save up for a couple more weeks, and get a MRD-M501 with 2 10s (275 RMS to each). Opinions?

Oh yeah, and if someone could tell me the main differences between the MRD-M301 and the MRP-M350. One is V12, and the other is just a V-power. How much better is the 301?
