What the F@%$ happpened

i hooked up my kicker kx600.1 it was fine for about half hour of playing it and than the ground came out of the amp and it smoked so much. but i tried it again 10 min later and it worked greatt..
should i keep it or take it back? and can u tell me what the hell happened

It was proably just the ground wire releasing current or something of that nature. If you take it back and it works they proably wont do anything about it. As long as it works then I say keep it.

you possibly worked the amp too hard or you had your subs connect at 1 or 2 ohms, make sure the amps stable at whatever your running it at...there are alot of causes that it may start smoking

it wasnt hot until it started smoking

do u have to work the amps up just like subs
im running them at 2 ohms on 4 guage wire

you caused a dead short. that caused the smoke.
probably didn't harm the amp but could have started a fire.. heh

really
so my amp should be fine
it made a really weird smell like melting plastic
