HOW TO WIRE 1 SHIVAS???????????

HELP!!!
Unregistered guest
Just bought 1 SHIVAS and I was wondering how to go about in wiring it since its 8ohms. I have an old Rockford Fosgate punch 200x2 amp. Should I toss it and get a new amp for the sub? IF so, I want MTX so which MTX amp would work best?

no you dont have to

wire the voice coils in paralell then bridge the amp to one of the voice coils...

that will give you a 4 ohm load, which im sure that amp can handle bridged

well first did you have it in an enclosure?

and di you only hook up one of the pair of terminals?

if you did both, that would be why

you need to have both terminals hooked up to play it, and have it in a box for acoustic suspension

it will get much much louder in a box than free air or nekked

It is in a seal 1.5-6 cubic feet enclosure. I hooked it up to my home amp and it bumps hard but when I hook it up to my car amp, it sounds as if its blown (according to a friend) how do I know if it is blown? or is it still the wiring
