Ok I guess my brain just went dead. Blahhhhh haha.
Anyway I have 2 kickers that are 2ohm dvc and I lost how I was going to hook them up. Its going to a mono amp and the kickers need to read 2 ohms. Appreciate if someone could jog my memory.

Lets see, what about hooking the subs individually up as parallel. Then on the outside of the box series. That would to right?

Yep, that would work, as long as you do it right lol.

Then either your subs are not really D2,or you have it wired wrong,or one or both of your subs are bad.

Why not just follow the diagram I posted? Im not really sure how you have it wired now.

They are, stated on the back. DVC 2 ohm both of them.
The reason is I ran out of wire....
Their not blown either I had them series wired with another amp.

The way they are wired is this: hope you can see but I drew a little doddleUpload

What the hell did you do? Im very confused by that. Im not sure what you tried to do there but that doesnt seem like it would work at all. Just follow the simple diagram I posted for a 2ohm final load. It doesnt get much easier than having a picture to follow lol.

I think you may have canceled out 1 vc per sub. That would mean your subs are only getting power to one of their vc each. You better go unhook everything right meow!! And like I said just follow the picture

If they are wired like that pic and the first diagram I posted then there is either something wrong with your subs or with your DMM. Are you sure your DMM is set to ohms? Theres just no way they would read .4 if they were wired correct. I mean I know they wont read exactly 2ohms but they should be reading somewhere in the pallbark of 2ohms,not .4ohms. Double check all your wires and make sure your DMM is set to read ohms.

You should set your DMM to the lowest setting for ohms. It may actually be reading right but you just have your meter turned up too high. So .4ohms could really be 3.xohms and its just rounding it up since its set to 200ohms. You know what I mean?

I have it at its lowest. Kinda I do but its still wrong.
Ill wait till monday and ask if my dad can bring his better one from work and Ill see. If it reads the same then Ill have to check it with my new amp wednesday. Hope I didnt mess them up somehow.

Well you could always measure each VC of your subs and find out if its reading right or not. Probe one + and - on one sub and it should read around 1.8-2.4ohms. Each VC should read somewhere around there.

Ok so your meter should be set to 200ohms,like you had it and the red (+) should be plugged in to the middle hole on the meter and the black (-) should go in to the bottom hole. Is that how you have it?

"Why?"

So I can make sure you are doing everything right and have dual 2ohm subs like you say you do and just so i can try to help you out man!

B/c if your subs are dual 2ohm and the coils read .4ohms each then your subs are messed up and you will need to replace them. If you have a DVC2ohm sub and each coil reads .4ohms,then something is wrong.

Have you had this system hooked up in the past? Or did you just get it? Is it used?

I havent even put this system in the truck yet. All Im trying to do is wire it to the box.
Its DVC 2 ohm 12" both of them are kicker cvrs got them last week and I hooked them up to a crappy amp. From what Im guessing to the amp crapped out/blown and thats about it.

So the very first time you hooked them up the amp blew? And now you are trying to hook them up to a different amp or the same one? Im just a little confused. Were the subs brand new when you got them? What amp did you hook them up to and what do you mean when you said the amp crapped out/blew?

Well Im starting to think when the amp blew or whatever,it took out the subs too. It could have clipped the subs to death or anything really. If your subs say they are DVC 2ohm and they now read .4ohms per coil then yea, there is definitly something wrong with your subs. A new amp wont save the subs. Can you see if the coils are burnt/black? Or if you push on the subs cone does it make a noise or is it stiff?

So did you try using another meter? And they coils all read around 2ohms now? Also did you wire them right and take another reading? Was it a final load of 2ohms?

The other ones at work, Ill tell you tomorrow when I get home.
When I moved the meter to 2000 ohms they all read 2 ohms.
I wired them 3 different ways and they all ran the same. (2 ohm)
So I used the one I had wire for, then checked to make sure I read 2 ohms on the terminals and it read 2 ohms again. So I think its all good now.
