I have a kicker cvt12.2 running off a kicker zx400.1,
Car in duel cab 09 hilux with 12 behind rear seat.

I had it in a 15ltr box, (factory tcvt12 box) sq and spl were nowhere to be found,
I built a 22ltr box, ok, but my 2x cvt8.4 killed it in sq and spl,(12ltrs ea)
Tried a 64ltr ported to 40 hz (kicker specs) spl good inside my house but not in car, sq still not existent. (port 76x 318x 555mm long (this box in tray))

other options using current ported box

I can seal it up to 79.5ltrs
incress port length (outside box to lower hz)
bandpass it and turn sub around.
or just build another box (size restricted to OD 93w x 60d x40cmh)

I don't know what you are expecting out of that sub, it is the shallow-mount, right? It ain't gonna be real loud, and certainly not sound that good. just get a cvx

As stated i have a duel cab ute, and im trying to get the best sq and spl i can out of a 19-22ltr box with a depth restriction on max 12cm,
box is sloped 185mm base 60mm top 580 high 510 width 16mm mdf.

The amp i have is 400wrms @ 2ohms
Tested at 563wrms (kicker zx400.1)

as this does next to nothing my options are
buy another sub that will work behind my seat
buy another sub that will work in rear tub within 85ltr-90ltr total(including port)

i currently have
2x sets of kicker qs65.2
2x kicker cvt8.4 subs
1x kicker zx700.5 amp to power above
1x kicker cvt12.2 sub
1x kicker zx400.1 to power 12"

What you you recommend
new sub for inside cab?
new sub in rear tub?
as set to what?

All my doors/floor are dynamated also.

Please, on all future posts, convert your metric system values to SAE. No one will want to do all that math, and therefore, you will not get the help you require. .78 cubic feet is 22 liters. 4.72 inches is 12 cm and is definately shallow-mount territory, but there are better brands out there than kicker CVT. You are in mexico, correct??
I imagine the shipping will be somewhat high, but look into getting
MB quart, RE audio SL, Image dynamics IDQ, Elemental Designs, TC sounds, Stereo Integrity, SoundStream,

Is 4. 72 inches as deep as you can go? are you willing to build or order a new box? Above post says you can go 60 cm deep?? that's like 23 inches!!
what kind of music do you listen to most?

Also, did you say you have 2 cvt8s playing as well as 1cvt 12?}

I have a few options that I'm considering,
1. build a box within 0.5 and 0.76 cuft with a depth restriction on sub of 4.75" (8-15" sub can be used)
2. Build a different size or ported box for current sub within specs above or bellow
3. Build a box for tray/tub with a bigger/ better sub( tray not joined to cab) within the size of 36"w x24"d x16"high 2.8cuft

For better sound inside of cab I'm trying to keep inside cab but I am willing to put in tray if the pros outweigh the cons

Specs behind rear seat are
23"h x7 5/16"base x2 3/8"top x20"w
+ I can add to side of box at to only to incress volume size is
9 1/2"h x3 3/4"base x2 3/8top x10 1/2"w
All in 5/8"mdf = 0.76cuft

Im also in aust. So unless it's a std car shop brand name item it will need to be shipped hence going with kicker.
As far as slimline sub options I have only Sony, pioneer, soundstreme, kicker, and jl. The jl here sell for double the kicker price. 13" jl slim $800 v's kicker 12"cvt $170, the other 3 are around 90-$200 Ea.

What ever I get it needs to run at 400-560wrms in the box that I can fit at 2 ohms( kicker zx400.1 amp)

I don't quite understand what a tray is or how you would incorporate the sub into the cab, but back to ur problem....it sounds like ur just not happy with the mediocre sound of a slim sub. Kicker and jl both have good options for bigger bass. IMO you should get 1 15" kicker L7, give it all the watts u got and enjoy. Get the dvc 2 ohm to wire down to 1 ohm. The L7s have a soft suspension once broken in so it will get crazy excursion off minimal power. Kicker recommends 3-6 cu.ft. ported

If you care about the SQ at all, don't get an L7

I have a 4x4 pickup, with 4 doors
I can either put sub inside cabin behind rear/back seat or put in the back,
I am unable to port the box into cabin as there is a gap behind cabin and tub/ rear of pick up

I looked at l7 15 but at 4-500wrms it won't be enough to run so I throat about a L7 12 on ported box to 25-30hz but as box will be in rear part of pickup how will the sq/spl be as I'm looking for about 70%sq 30%slp and only need to to operate below 60hz as I have 2 8" under seats doing from 60hz-125hz then my splits take over tuned at 125hz with a +6db gain

I would like some recommend a sub for behind rear seat that will do this or for rear of pick up

Does any one no how well the l7 15 runs off a kicker zx400.1 (4-560wrms)

I can't incress power as I can't fit bigger alt.
I have big 3 and 0gage wire to each amp zx700.5 and zx400.1
I'm running the biggest battery I can fit it 900 cranking amps I dont have a cap and can't fit 1 anywhere above 1.3 so that won't help.

What ever I get needs to run off 4-560wrms
Amp test sheet says 563wrms

Yes only good for 2 ohm
As my stock alt is only 100a and it a diesel at 13v I have 1300w to play with minus running amps so idd say around 800w left for stero that's why I don't want to increase to 750 or 1000w amp

400-560 wrms will b fine for that 15.....or for a 12 with less space. Are you talking about putting the ssub in the pickup bed? How would you get any bass into the cab? It sounds like you don't want anything taking up room n ur cab, so maybe go with a sealed 12 or a ported 10?

Idd like it in cab but don't feel that I'll get what after, I'm use to 15's in a ported box. With 6x9 or 7x10 in rear the 6.5 splits up front

Idd like a sub that can give me the lows of a 15 but nesercerly as load in a 0.7-1cuft box with less then 4.75" depth on sub

If this can't be achieved then I'll have no option but to put in pickup bed, the only problem is that I can't port into cab as I don't wish to cut holes in cab.

So the get the best result in bed I don't think itwill happen with only 400wrms unless there are so lowpowered subs that produces some really low hz

Price isn't a factor unless I'm looking over $1000 mark and I don't care about getting another amp if I need alittle bigger. But I'm restricted my my alternator, I

Well u r screwed then jon, unless u know magic. I don't see how we can help u anymore. Maybe take the seats out, or put a big box on top of the seats, or put a huge box in bed with a camper shell and leave ur sliding back glass open

ill give the alpine a go, as its quite cheap and max sealed is 0.7cu ft,
i have herd the jl slimline 13 and i wasn't impressed with it in a 0.7 cu ft box.
If all else falls ill get 2x l715 on a zx1500.1 in my bed with a twin 3.5cu ft ea. ported box at 28 hz. and see how they go,
And get rid on my 2x cvt8 so my alt. can handle the power required to drive them
