AQ FTW! I had an sd2.5 and ran it on 1300wrms daily and it was fine for over a year.

or if you're not set on those,

Atomic Extinction Level 12s

What's this going in? What do you listen to? What have you heard? Any of the mentioned?

AQ HDC FTW. Fi BL with the 4" coil too.

I'd do 4 DCON 12's on 1200W - no need for high-output alt, batts, better SQ & lows. That's a real daily application, sounds great and gets loud. I'd use one batt with it (cuz after powering the front stage you're nearing 1.5-2k). Real sensitive at 89.1 dB. Hopefully you have 7 - 9 NET.

the sx has the capability to get you a about a 138 db in that car full tilt but the audioque will be louder and give you more upper bass range in your car than the sx will....i wouldnt do 3 se's because it will only be slightly louder than the single sx would be and youd suffer in the upper bass range again

"the sx has the capability to get you a about a 138 db in that car full tilt".

You can't just make assumptions like that.

If you want loud music than do all of what you can do and start by upgrading the alt, batts and wiring first, then do 3 of the better 12's with the 3k amp @ .67 ohms - 3000W * 1.33 = 3990W / 3 = 1330W each). You'd use more space (better lows) and you'd hit a higher number because you could run your amp at .67 ohms or lower, right? What's the amp? If you already have the amp and don't want to switch than that's what's going to be louder. Save up for another few months, it'll be worth it.

BL 12"
FS 35.2 Hz / 39.8 Hz
QTS .24 (each)
89.1 dB
xmax 18mm
BL 16.6 / 22.7
$274 new, before options (+$55 then $50 for the 4" VC)

SX 12"
FS 30.6 Hz
QTS .3
88.1 dB
xmax 22mm
BL 21
$discontinued

HDC 12" copper coil
FS 43 Hz
QTS .375
88.172 dB
xmax 38.1mm
BL 24.567
$249

HDC 12" aluminum coil
FS 43 Hz
QTS .375
88.172 dB
xmax 38.1 mm
BL 24.567
$320

DC Level 4 & Level 4 XL too.

You might as well "cheap out" and get 3 HDC copper coils for $750. Spend the rest on electrical & deadening. I'd forget the SX & RE's lol.

well i do have several amps but the only amp that i have that would power 3 hdc 12s is my autotek mm 4000 but that is such a current hog i dont like it for daily driving,, i guess ill just run 3 bosss audio chaos 12s on a road gear 300,2 now that shiit will slap check the specs lol boss audio and road gear FTW but for real i think ill get 2 hdc 3s and throw them on the pig(autotek) for now and even with my 200 amp alt and 3 batts i still drop to the low 12s with that freakin pig i gotta get rid of it get a power acoustik bamf 5500 lol that will put out 3200 perfect for my application lmfao in all seriousness prolly the aq 3500 crescendo 3k re vlx4

sean, are you pulling my chain or what? What's that even mean? Now you're copying what I'm saying for other threads? Wtf is your problem? because you can go ahead and make whatever assumption you want but it's going to mean d!ck in a real-world application. If you had read my post you'd know that I suggested what would be louder, I didn't say a specific TL number like you did. Fluckin' n00b with 16000 posts, if you *still* don't know what you're talking about than just STFU.

"i wouldnt do 3 se's because it will only be slightly louder than the single sx would be and youd suffer in the upper bass range again"

^ So dumb I can't even begin to describe.

Oops sorry wrong thread.

An AQ 2200 @ .67 would do. Not a lot of current draw there. 3 batts and a 200A alt is perfect for it.
