I have an Atari 2600 and I'm gonna hook it up in my truck. The problem is, the atari has a single "rca" output for audio and video. I can hook the atari up to my house T.V. just fine, because I have a converter to change that lil rca plug into a coax and plug into my cable reciever in my tv. However, my truck's screen only has RCA , 3.5mm, and IPOD inputs. I might have some more stashed behind it, but I don't want to take it out

Does anyone know how to hook up the atari to RCA video?
Does a 3.5mm jack carry video? or just audio?
Can I just another converter to go from coax-to-RCA after going from "rca"-to-coax ?

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks. It looks like by the picture I will have to get an adapter to go from the Atari to COAX then plug the coax into the rf mod. Then run RCA from mod to monitor. Does this sound accurate? Have you done this before?

its ~40 year old tech but it should be [Atari] > [coax] > [converter box] > [box RCA to TV]

dont forget the inverter...unless the unit uses a 12v transformer, then just cut the wire before the transformer and fuse the (+) wire and connect it to the a power source and ground....im still convinced theres an adapter from the single a/v to stereo a/v, but cant figure out what the ataris output is called.

I'm hoping there is a single av-to-RCA adapter like you said Ted.

I will let you know how I do it

So the RF modulator has RCA input with COAX output. I NEED COAX INPUT WITH RCA OUTPUT. Any info on this?

Has anyone heard of an RF de-modulator?
