Got a question. A guy is looking to run four single 2 ohm subs off of a JL 1000/1. Another guy and I had suggested taking two of the subs and running them in series for a 4 ohm load. Take the other two subs and do the same. Then run the two pairs in parallel to the amp, presenting a final ohm load of 2. Is this correct? Some others are saying it isn't a good idea to run the subs like that. I'm pretty confident it should be ok but I'm not positive.

Known as a series/parallel combo configuration, that will work fine.

What would not work is to run 2 in series and then parallel another 1 in with them... keep em even and it's all good.
