2 12" type r's for 50 bucks? should i buy?

A guy from work wants 50 bucks for both his type r's. 25 a sub. i really have no use in the world for them. both work look and sound fine. was thinking about pulling out the wardens and putting a t30001 on each and blowing the hell out of them. thoughts?

we still love pics and vids.

and use the type R's in like a back deck / yard system. and for 50$ you can find a use for them.

$25 for even a used R is a steal, so long as they are in the condition you say they are. Snatch them up son.

Um, yea, my thought is don't... sounds like you're not aware, amps can be damaged when the speakers they're driving blow... depending on what kind of protection circuitry the amp has and how good it is. sometimes the coil of the speaker can melt in such a way that it loses most resistance and essentially gives you a short across the speaker terminals... amps do not like that

Its all good. knock on wood ive never blown a sub nor an amp. im really protective with my stuff. boardering on obsessive. dont want to pay a boat load for amps and subs just to see the magic smoke spew from them. i knew you weren't trying to insult ms. just looking out. always appreciated my man.
