hey guys i just got the newly aquired 4 12" jl w3v2's metered, they are in a box tuned to 47 hz on a rockford bd1000a1 amp at 2 ohm, it hit 140.8 i know these subs are underpowered but im looking to sell them and start scratch, im willing to take up my whole backseat but i want this system to hit a bit lower frequencys then 47hz, i have my subs and amp sold for a $1000, so thats some money to start off, and then i can work on more money after that. i am thinking 2 18's, running off maybe 1800-2500 rms, i want to be able to hit mid 140's possibly a 150 or louder , does anybody have a set of subs and amp i should consider please post your opinions.

wow man, not knocking things but that was a low score.

I definitely think you're on the right track with your upgrade, though if it's for daily use it'll take some work to do 150.

Is this purely for SPL, or daily with some comps?
What's the final budget you can work with?
Any electrical upgrades now or later?

A 140.8 for 4 12's (any 12's) is pretty bad. Not knocking you man, but it is. I agree though, an upgrade is in order.
