I THINK I FINALLY FOUND OUT WHY my cadence a7hc was WEAK AS HELL! and now it just goes into preotect. my ground looks TERRIBLE, it looks like theres a bunch of shi t and rust around it. Plus, my 12 gauge amp kit and 4 gauge amp kit were grounded under the same screw. Best buy did it(im gonna go back there tomorrow and tell them to redue it they did it about 3 years ago), my friend saw it and was like yhea this is just a cheap job. But we put the amp in his car and it works just fine. sigh. I never figured the reason why they went into protect. never knew they could sense this. Is there any chance they could get damaged at all by this? god im happy and breath a sigh of relief

you should have more than a 4 guage ground for 1200 watts anyway....120 amps is the max 4 guage is rated to carry

ya true 4 ga wire will allow 125 amps of current if the run is 6 ft or less. the longer the run the less amps, so a 12-15 ft run is somewhere around 90 amps. not enough for 1200 watts
i guess it possibly could get damaged but probably won't but i wouldnt use it until the ground is fixed
