im pretty stooked I just got my 6 foot hdmi cable for my ps3 so I can watch movies on my 46 inch toshiba regza lcd in 1080p...popped in king kong not too bad so far
Then I got a 6 foot dvi to hdmi cable to go from my computers upgraded video card to the hdmi slot on my tv.....pretty nice surfing on a 46 inch lcd as well as being able to play movies off my computers hard drive
The only thing left for me to hook up is my denon receiver to my rca male plugs to the receiver then the 1/8 inch stereo input to the computers sound card then ill haave big sound with my nht classic 4 speakers
oh and i have a wireless mouse and keyboard combo hooked up along with a netflix memebership for movie selecting too
I'm sure that looks great. but king kong? j/k I use my ps3 just for blue ray's anymore. unreal what they've done with tv's in the last 3 years. leaps and bounds.
I also have a avermedia tv tuner card that im going to hook up to the computers usb port and get my feed from my dish network satellite im pretty sure i can record programs onto my computers hard drive with it....sweet
not really into gaming anymore except for the occasional moments when i feel like it on the wii so i never really bothered to buying a ps3 since most likely dust will settle on it
have been running a dvi cable from my laptop to my 40" sony tv a while now - i dl movies & watch it hooked up from my laptop to tv so no need to burn any dvds
for sound from my laptop i run a logitec z5500 which i bought about 6-7yrs ago - its not the best but it works good enough
last wk i got a 2T external drive so now i got alot more space ...
i think there is a way to connect your computer via optical to your reciever, i use those 1/8 jacks for my computer and i have like 3 extensions lol, but i prefer to listen to music off the ps3 because with my speakers it is easy to tell the difference in quality
