I was wanting to upgrade my stock alt. to a 200 amp high output alt. and was wondering if i should upgrade the wire from the alt. to the battery to 0/1 or if 4 gauge is sufficient? I'm going to be running roughly 1600-1700 watts. Any input will be appreciated.
If you're going to go to the trouble of upgrading you might as well do 1/0. That way there is the least resistance possible and in case you ever do upgrade in the future, you already have it.
