i was thinking of tradeing my punch hx2 10s and punch 100ixdsm for a hifonics bxi 1606d but i would be running it on 2 12 dvc 40hm 2003 comp vr they are 400 rms like the new ones i was wondering if this would be just too strong for the subs even if i turned the gain all the way down. does it do rated power? and i know that my car is only putting like 12.5volts to the amp because i only have stock electric except big 3
Are the subs going into a sealed or ported enclosure? If sealed you may be ok, if ported it may be a little too much for them. If anything you could turn the gain down some to cut back the amp a little. So it should work.
just got the hifonics bxi1606d traded it for 2 10"hx2s it knocks only running it on 4 ohms i need a bigger fuse by the battery and i dont want to blow my subs they sound alot better already but i know only a few dbs can sound like a huge dif
