I ordered the remote bass knob for my 500/1 and I must say I'm quite happy with it. The problem I was having lately was that, with spring right around the corner, having the windows down seemed to change the bass level in my car. Some songs sounded alright, others were hitting too hard and some not enough. The knob now gives me control over the amp and I can adjust as needed for a nice, smooth transition. It also seems to me like I'm getting a little more out of my amp. Things in my car are moving around and that didn't happen until I hooked up this knob. So I guess the moral of the story is, anyone who has a JL slash series and doesn't have the remote knob, I'd recommend it.
