Sup guys. Back when I put sounds in the truck in 08. I had a 12" ssd. Well, everytime it hits low freq's the sub would cut out. I think the box would be better suited for a 10".

Heres what the box looks like

Upload

Its roughly 1.4cuft total (no sub/port disp)

So imagine after sub and port disp, its probably only 1cuft. Better suited for a 10".

What do you guys think I should do. Cut out a mdf piece and customized the box for a 10" subwoofer. Or customize it for 2 10" sealed.

yeah bottom out. I tried sealing up the box, and sub still bottoms out. Its a fi ssd flatwound. Don't think its made for sealed box's.

I found out that my problem isn't a subwoofer problem. I hooked up a different sub in a different box that my friend has and it did the same thing in my car, which never happened in his car. The sub isn't bottoming out, bc it stops moving. Plus I'm only giving it 500rms. So it would stop moving for 1-2 seconds and resume playing. When the sub cuts out, I look at the amp and it shows no sign of clipping or turn off, amplifier stays on the whole time.
