I have two 10" Kicker L5s in a ported factory box wired to a TMA 1000.1 amp. I just recently replaced my alpine CDA-9847 with the Alpine IDA-x303, and my subwoofer sounds noticeably different. For one it sounds as though it does not hit as hard and it also doesnt seem to play the same range of tones that it did on the older head unit. I left the gain, x-over, and bass boost on the same settings, and my HPF is set at 80hz on my head unit. what could i do to remedy this

Subwoofer level control on the HU could be set different.

Also those units are both 2 volt line out, but even so it may need a bit of gain adjustment.

Does a 4 volt out change things that much

A different voltage will not change the sound any, the amp gain would just need to be re-calibrated.
