You're not going to find an amp that will do 1500 rms for $120 unless maybe it's used.

Yeah listen to Sean! I don't want to put down the equipment you already have but you will come to learn that there is much better out there. You really need to learn the difference between rms(true) and max (bogus numbers) power. I would look for less power like 800 watts but a good 800 watts. even 600 watts will move those subs. are they 4 ohms each? dual voicecoil or no?

that amp at 400 watts will make your subs louder then a 1000 watt dual amp anyday. As far as people hearing you, why??? keep your music in your own car! noone wants to hear your music. Chances are they have their own music playing and they would rather hear that then what you like. I am not being a d!ck just saying.....

but im just asking because in the summer me and my friends go to a basketball court by my house and we like to listen to music. but we usually just pull a jeep up the curb and put it in the court with us, but i would much rather just be able to park in the lot since my car cant get over the curb..

How loud your subs will get depends on the amp pushing them, the enclosure they're in and the subs themselves. If you plan on parking your car and listening to music at loud levels you better either keep the car running or have a nice battery bank. Even then, you will still only have a given amount of time to run just off of those batteries.

the true power on the new phoenix gold stuff is really half of what its rated so 500 rms but make sure the ohm you need matches to the amp you want....if your subs a single 4 ohm and you have 2 subs you want a 2 ohm load at the amp to be your max power
