Ok i have a taurus that i want to hook up subs in. I bought a output converter so i can convert speaker into rca outputs. I was wondering insteading of diconnection or splicing the rear speaker wires to the converter box, can i just take a piece of wire and connect it to the actual silver bare speaker wires that come from and to the rear speakers and then go into the converter box with them? Or do i have to actually splice a new wire of my own to the rear ones and then to the converter?
