the title says it all i want the pros and cons for both subs and i wana make my decision on what you guys say. and what amp to power the sub i was thinging AQ1200D??

AQ is geared towards SPL

Fi Q is geared towards SQ

can't count how many times this comparison has been made...

as Daniel said, the AQ will handle more power and get louder. the Q will sound better and play lower.

umm idk i wana do one 15" for now then possible another later but im willing to get rid of back seat for the sub

The Q is sweetness for SQ. I have an 18" in my HT myself and love it. I would never run a Q for SPL though.



That would be like riding a unicorn in a horse race.

okay i think im gona go with the Q now i need a box design for it could someone please help me out? and paul what amp are you running to it?

hes using a home theater amp that plugs into a wall. dayton 1000w plate amp i think... i'd recommend putting 1000-1200wrms on it depending on upgrades if you choose to do so.

also, designing boxes doesn't come as easy when dealing with extended cabs and such. if it were a trunk it'd be much simpler. might have to get somebody local to take a look at it. if not i believe Canaan would be most qualified to help you since he had a similar truck. also knows what he's talking about.
