Gold Member Username: Kingandsons07TEAM NEBRASKA Lincoln,NE Post Number: 1103 Registered: Aug-08 | Stave what ones did you use? i'm has saved me so many time! if i drive with out mine it makes me feel like i'm naked lol mine picks up radar about 2+ miles out on a clear road. even has a pop mode so like if the fuz is turning off there radar and back on it will pick it up. oh and DBLK i drove a Ford E250 work van with a cage and stuff and no back window and it still pick up radar about 1/2 mile, even 1 mile some times! but i had an Escort I'd say go test it, go find an LEO running radar or a monted radar some place and drive back and forth testing it |

Gold Member Username: DelsolePost Number: 1442 Registered: Feb-05 | I have had many radars, the only ones i would buy again would be Beltronics, Escort passport or valentine one. They really do work well and actually saved me a number of tickets. As far as i know Beltronics and Escort are basically the same or made in the same place anyway. Its been a while since I've looked into them but for your case with the wall i would suggest one of the permanently installed ones because you can mount them anywhere u want and the sensors are little pods u mount outside of the car. I know bell and escort both make them but im not sure about valentine. |

I really don't care what anyone else is going to say in this thread, whistlers and cobra's and radar detectors that you can buy at target are not going to be good. Additionally, if you do choose to pull the trigger and buy a V1 or Passport 8500 or 9500, they will not function to their fullest potential unless they have 360* visibility. |
