Post Number: 4168 Registered: May-07 | http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp try to match the total rms of sub (s) to the rms rating of the amp. example- amp zx1000 1000 wrms @ 2 ohm 2 subs/ ~500wrms rating each 1sub/ 1000 rms the voice coil needed is determined by he amount of voicecoils that are on each sub (SVC, DVC and quadvc(rare)) andthe ohm load desired to get the most out of your amp. in ex- 2 ohm would be what your sub(s) need to be wired too. . once you know the amp needs a 2 ohm load to reach 1000wrms, then you know what ohm vc to get in whatever vc configuration of desired sub(s),.
